CBPS supported a workshop hosted by the Best Practices Foundation (BPF) titled ‘Northern Regional Workshop for MS Federations’ at Patna on the 28 and 29 November, 2017. The primary objective of the workshop was to bring together the federations formed in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam to facilitate a dialogue about the future amongst the federations.

The stated objectives were: (1) For the federations to review their strengths, the challenges they face, institutional barriers, and possible ways forward, (2) to enable the federations to build a strong solidarity-based network of interdependent and self-reliant institutional identity, and (3)to initiate the process of building an inclusive, diverse, and broad-based solidarity platform of women’s federations. The participants were primarily select members of almost all the federations from Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam. In addition, members of the erstwhile members of the MS organization, such as the ex-District Project Coordinators (DPCs), ex-District Resource Persons (DRPs) of the three states attended the workshop. CBPS presented their findings to the federation and provided critical input to the dialogues.
