Jyotsna and Maithreyi’s chapters have been published in a book titled ‘Childhoods in India: Traditions, Trends and Transformations’ edited by T. S. Saraswathi, Shailaja Menon and Ankur Madan. The book has been published by Routledge – Taylor & Francis.

Jyotsna Jha’s chapter is titled, “Education and gender: a critical analysis of policies in India”. She also makes a reference to the CBPS GrOW study (Together We Can: Assessing the Impact of Women’s Action Groups on Social Change in India) funded by International Development Research Centre, Canada (IDRC)Maithreyi R’s chapter is titled, “Childhood as ‘risky’ and life as ‘skills’: social implications of psycho-educational programmes”.

Azim Premji University is hosting a Public Lecture and Book Launch event around the ‘Childhoods in India’ publication on 2 Dec 2017Prof. A R Vasavi will be speaking about ‘Child Citizen and the Nation’.
